Our Programs
Education
At Hart Van Hulp Initiative, we believe that education is the cornerstone of a brighter future. Our Education program is dedicated to providing quality learning opportunities for both refugees and nationals in Uganda and South Sudan. We work tirelessly to improve access to schools, enhance learning environments, and support teachers and students with the resources they need to thrive. By empowering young minds with knowledge, we are investing in the leaders of tomorrow, ensuring they have the skills to contribute positively to their communities.
Our Programs
Community Engagement
Community is at the heart of everything we do. Our Community Engagement program focuses on fostering strong, inclusive communities by working closely with both refugees and nationals. Through workshops, outreach activities, and collaborative projects, we aim to build trust, understanding, and cooperation among diverse groups. Whether it’s through educational initiatives, health promotion, or social activities, we are committed to creating a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.

Our Programs
Agriculture & Environment
Sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship are crucial for the long-term well-being of our communities. Our Agriculture & Environment program is designed to support local farmers, both refugees and nationals, by providing training in sustainable farming practices, access to essential resources, and environmental education. By promoting responsible land use and environmental care, we help communities achieve food security, improve livelihoods, and protect the natural resources that sustain them.
Our Programs
Women Empowerment
Empowering women is key to creating resilient, prosperous communities. Our Women Empowerment program offers a range of initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills, knowledge, and confidence of women in our communities. Through workshops, leadership training, and support for entrepreneurship, we help women, including both refugees and nationals, to become self-reliant, active participants in their communities. By investing in women, we are building a more equitable and just society.

Our Programs
Livelihood
Economic stability is essential for a thriving community. Our Livelihood program focuses on providing refugees and nationals with the skills and opportunities they need to build sustainable livelihoods. From vocational training to small business support, we work to equip individuals with the tools they need to achieve financial independence and improve their quality of life. By supporting economic growth at the grassroots level, we are fostering a more resilient and self-sufficient community.
